November has tangled lights, bits of glass, glitter everywhere...
Which leads to a holly jolly good time.
I start working in Seattle next week and am amazed by my ability to forgo SF, Oahu, and Whistler this winter, just so I can commit to a rental space in Ballard. Something in the air lets me know this is exciting, sexy and fun- sharing with soppy Washingtonians!
Tis the season to hook up, that's for sure. My sister and I've signed a sublease till spring and hope to continue all sorts of festivity with like minded people...please join!

Unconditionality
Understand that there is no distinction between the spiritual and the physical, we make that distinction (and many others) for the sake of understanding; though distinctions actually end up clouding the very issue they are meant to clarify. We separate ourselves from ourselves in dualism, we separate ourselves from the source of life (god) in humanism, and we separate ourselves from the universe in materialism.
We pay attention to the particles while within the space are the real powerful influences. We are all separate when we ignore this space, though unified when we realize that we all share the same space. We are
as small as the collection of particles we call our body, we are as large as the space that connects us to each other and to the cosmos. Our universe is 99.99% space, we only see it as solid because, in our world of space-time, we see those particles in 50,000 places at one time.
Of course the writings of the Tao Te Ching relate this very well:
Become totally empty
Quiet the restlessness of the mind
Only then will you witness everything unfolding from emptiness
See all things flourish and dance in endless variation
And once again merge back into perfect emptiness -
Their true repose
Their true nature
Emerging, flourishing, dissolving back again
This is the eternal process of returnMonday, October 06, 2008

Here I sit on Alki, just this morning I was strolling San Francisco....the weeks before were crazier than imagined and lets be honest, there wasn't much time to imagine anything outside of schedule.
My father marries his girlfriend of 20 years this friday and the party starts tomorrow. One German unites w/another, and as best (wo)man, I've planned a special dish breaking event to start. Everyone keeps asking if I've got my speech planned.....scheisse. I don't have the nerve to admit that I am only one steppin it at a time. Not much projection or reflection, yet.
Which means Yes, I'll start thinking about speech services NOW, and whether it should be all words, maybe some Acro demonstration or even a musical? The guests are in for a real treat- Pappa, you're the best!

Tomorrow's the last day! I've got an abundance of gratitude for this venture- let alone a steadier handstand, a deeper straddle and many new connections made!
What is it about Forrest Yoga that ignites sexuality?
Well, here are some of Ana's key phrases:
"Get your strap on"
"breathe into your vagina, perineum, and anus"
"Men, move your balls"
"Go down"
"put the rolled up mat against your genitals, and don't be coy, they're YOUR genitals"
(during wrist stretches) "Think of all the times your hands bring you pleasure"
"Use your breathe to feed your pleasure"
"Sparkle up"
"I know you've fallen in love with your partner, but it's time to leave them"
"go deeper"
"Feel the pleasure of strength"
"ride your breath"
Ohhhhh Ana, perhaps this is why you're a sell out, time and again, you hold steady and get us sweaty.

We had a 3am pantie party, followed by a crazy class where a lawyer-lady (who was stoned), fainted (in front of me) during nauli and broke her hand/fingers. Then the woman diagnosed with Multiple Personality disorder freaked out, two more people quit the teacher training and the faux hawk guys shaved- So, what's a woman to do besides sit with her sister, crack jokes and place bets on what's next?!
Full moon, going full throttle, but I have Tues & Wed off, and I am SO excited!

In Denver, several AcroYoga friends were on hand (and foot!) to support the delegates at a Spa in the convention hall. My friend Adi was there in full force and flew this reporter from Time Magazine. It seems as though the Democrats had a very progressive and hopefully tell tale sign of the future of America:
Watch a great video clip from the convention Here
And in Minneapolis, the Republican convention had much other vibration where the Free Press of America was threatened and arrested. Jailing journalists is unacceptable in a democracy. But that's exactly what is happening at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Award winning journalist and host of "Democracy Now" Amy Goodman was arrested by St. Paul police while covering a protest outside the Republican National Convention. Though clearly identified as press, Goodman was charged with "obstruction of a legal process and interference with a 'peace officer.'" Two of her producers were arrested for "suspicion of felony riot."
To tell you that this arrest was brutal and upsetting simply doesn't do it justice. Watch this video to see for yourself. Then take action.

Although, if there's anything anyone is willing to do for me, I'd gladly receive. Hold up, I am working on asking for help, since I am such a self reliant lady and here's a perfect time to say, I need help. This being said, if anyone could stock up on sleep, then put it into my account, I'd be SO delighted, that in return, I'll rub your feet.
How 'bout that?
Or, you could come over and cook me dinner (you shop & cook, I'll buy).
Or, you could do my stinky, wet laundry.
Or, you could simply hold my cranial bones.
Ahhhhhhhhhh I am smiling, b/c it feels good to ask for what I want!

This yogic life is great!
I feel good, I actually like the schedule and our snack pack is full of necessary goodies- HA!
Special thanks to all our friends for the constant coming of support (Brian's bitchen husbandry, Inez's errand running, Katherine's continuous love, Danielle & Jim's determination & laughter, Regina's bodywork, and David's gourmet cooking). We love you!

The biggest, little job of my life starts tomorrow and I am ready.
For the next 24 days I shall rise at 2am, share in Yogic instruction until night falls, and experience each bump, thrill and surprise with open, gracious arms!
I simply ask that you remind me to "keep my chin up" when I get short on perspective.

Sobriety wasn't so common at Burning Man, however each similarité I saw, I connected with. I was a provider in therapeutics, a witness to laborious men, and a daily Acro & aerial performer...joie vie.

Tis Angela's birthday on this full moon eclipse, Enjoy!
Random acts of kindness fill the air as I stepped on a nail (while running to meditation), and have received non stop goddess goodness since! These AcroYogis fill me with such love & light- I'll be seeing many of 'em at Burning Man, SO our physical acts of unison shall continue.

I love ritual just as I love systems!
Rising each morning to meditate, chant, asana practice, then eat breakfast.
Enjoying each afternoons Thai massage and acroyoga, then lunch.
Engaging in acrobatics and conditioning before dinner.
We sit and relate until night falls, and then we bed.
Almost every day, without variation.
Yeah for the Olympics!

So we train in 2-3 hour blocks, with 1-2 hour breaks in between the four sessions and this 256 acre ranch offers all sorts of hippie fun for us to frolic on! There's horses, goats, chickens, a trampoline, pool, hot tub, huge pond, and of course acro-fucking-baticals. These people are savvy, silly and full of love! Oh yeah, a dance party is part of the daily regime too, phew!
Each night we have Satsang, which basically means story time, or we host special guests like theatre companies, staff appreciation, and other musical, moving, flying events. This video here is what a couple of the trainees created with the words to our "mission statement". It's silly, it's hippie and almost always leads to a dance party jam!
