Leaving afternoon practice & radiating beauty!

More on this later- But for now, I gotta say, TODAY IS HUMP DAY!

hump. hump. hump.
To ready, I thought a coffee enema would lighten the internal load, so I embarked on a bath and such (last night), however it backfired and buzzed me wide-eyed awake until 1am. DAMNIT!!

Hence this morning's mantra "damnit, damnit, damnit" while giggling through a hip opening euphoria.

So far an extra hammer gel, and chocolate, helped get it done- A necessary trip to the grocer & some laundry tonight, should put this mid-journey mark juuust right.

Later:
What a coincidence some of the guys/gals expressed their love & appreciation for me on hump day- ahhhhhhh how sweet it is to be appreciated. I maintain a pretty positive attitude through our long hours, let alone, hold space for a lot of people's process. It's all a part of life, and my contribution to the work.
BTW, the NE accent cracks me up, "Chaaatewranga", "dawnwood doowg", etc. Today's afternoon yoga sesh was fast-n-fun, and a mini dance party followed, with a bunch of lovelies inspired by no other than Snoop Dogg & Dr Dre!

PS There sure is a whole lotta nakedness & bodywork here in Rhodie's not-an-Island. We own The Homestead Suites, and would they really kick us out for wall climbing, luggage roller-boarding and naked yoga?

suppllllllements!

"Hey Ange, how many Cliff shots did we have yesterday?"
"ummm, shyiiiit we had two, and a shot block"

"Hey Ange, what was your mantra for yesterdays 4.5 hour practice?"
"motha fucka"

"Did you enjoy the backbends?"
"Did I?! Hoot and holler baby"

I got soul and I am super bad...

Now, this mornings practice involved a 17 pose standing series, supposed to make our legs burn & mind shake, BUT if you're Ange and I, then LUCKY-ducky, b/c we had bicycle boys drive to fuel us. Those blokes ride many a miles, and as Ange said during apex, "What if we were in our 80th mile-" GET IT. And get it I did- w/both feet behind my head, I balanced on my hands.

We're going places. Breakthroughs! Best class of my life today!
Going back for more? Yes ma'am, I am.

okay okay okay.

I ate Bambi two days ago. Apparently she came from the Okanogan Highlands, to Bellevue (where I came across her), and into my belly. This wouldn't be a big deal, except for the FACT that I hadn't ate meat in 18 years! Whoa nelly! Gut bomb. I need to eat something bigger, like bear or bison, to chase that venison outta my system!

I am in Cranston, Rhode Island and the Yoga show is about to get started. This place is whack! No road signs- but donut shops everywhere (coincidental treat when lost), cemeteries a plenty (from the fried sugar?), a funnnny accent, with conservative people (makes for bad jokes), and trees which resemble mini cauliflowers...

I am off to a short 3 hour practice. Then to meet up with my bff, Alison, who happens to be in town for Brown's 10 year reunion. Phew, gimme a kombucha cocktail, I need a break.

The real games begin tomorrow, before dawn!

The sweet success of a plan coming together soothes me.
I just got news that I don't have to go to Greece next month, for AcroYoga training.
Instead, I get to attend the already full, and last TT, in Santa Barbara this August.
The original spicy plan, stands!

Meanwhile, I am pulling my shit together, and flying east to Rhode Island on Thursday-
It'll be 2 wks of the longest, most enduring yoga, I've ever done.
I am not so much anxious, as I am ready, with a "Lets go" attitude.
It's NOT like being at the base of a major climb, and having your partner take 2 more piss breaks while standing there, on the sharp end, ready for takeoff- battling sweaty palms.
But, there is a bit of anxiousness and maybe that's b/c I carry the logistics load on top of needing to show up physically/mentally ready.

Well, to support my R&R in between Yogic stunts, I went to Hood River and tickled my fancy with over a hundred (straight) guys racing bicycles. Ladies were there too, although I wasn't much of a spectator for 'em. There's something about sexy strong bodies, mixed with such intent, topped off with grunting, that gets me hot!
And then the river was there to cool me off. Oh joyous river, fresh and exhilarating, beneficial in so many ways... Our unexpected home stay kicked ass, our friends were generous, and I got a tan! I am stoked that none of my time off tightened my shoulders, or restricted my hammies. Rather, fed me w/social engagements of chillsizzlin fun & laughter!

I salute mother earth, father sky and the sea monsters for Angela's & my new home. Momma helped us huge in providing this Seattle base, and while it's ours, I am satisfied- All around.

Whats to say...
I was in Utah yesterday and though the scenery satisfied my senses, the humans were ugly! No joke, I was peeved by all the ugliness in Salt Lake and wanted to run to the cliffs, where I could scale 'em and then jump off, in the name of liberating sexiness.

Now I am in Colorado and ooooooE, hot action thrills me! Between ppl on bikes, ppl in yoga, and those who fancy climbing, I am destined to get my fill of eye candy and make a date; to return w/Ange to teach Yogadelic workshops.

This w/e's work is relatively "easy" since I am used to a 3am start time. We practice at 5am, teach from 9-12 and then again from 2-5. CorePower Yoga is a beautiful studio...

BTW, i saw two grown humans check their fully assembled bicycles at the airport, with nothing more than blankets bobby pinned around the frame- i tried to take a pic but the camera's batteries were laughing so hard, they used all their juice & died. My camera died from laughter.

Summer Vacation

What is it about those words, which make me feel so ready and available for opportunity? In the last couple a days, I've sat and produced 30some pages of writing aaannd now that it's done- I am smitten to move right along.

So, I am. And, instead of vanoyaging north with Angela and Sebastian, I am cutting east to Denver. Mmmmmmm Yoga in the Rockies! What about climbing in the Rockies? Unfortunately, I am sending my gear up north (ensuring that much needed visit to mom), which intensifies the division between labor & love. Nahhh, that's a lie. There's no separation, though if I could teach Yoga at a world class climbing spot, with mom there to make my sam'miches, then I just might have found The Perfect System.

Leaving my CA nest-n-flock to perch in CO, WA, OR & RI for the rest of May is a bit sad, but new horizons give these wings a chance to fly!

Yogalicious and ready. I am going hunting. Things which spark my carnivorous interest (in no specific order); long trad lines, inversions, gravity surfing, reading for my own damn joy, all things w/bicycles & vaguely enough, making/maintaining/exploring connections.

FLY JILL FLY...
okay, bye-bye.
