I am no expert, but I think Coachella's gonna be a REAL good time-
To make a brief list of attending things which are HOT:
us
the desert
our golf club house
Battles
bikinis or no bikinis
riding bicycles
group naps
thousands of like minded peeps, out for a good time

And things that compliment the heat :
the pool!
music
mind altering states
enjoying life as ART en play.

Oh my- I should pack, b/c this van is about to roll. I want to wear short, white, summer dresses!!!!!!! YEAH. As the clothing lessens the importance of underwear gains- I gotta get my minimal attire going.

Wish us luck. I hope the 8 of us love and respect one another. AND I kinda hope...

Wednesday's Body Practices, Cultural Forces, and
Social Change class.

We will be holding the first half of Wednesday's
class at the Civic Center, and will meet on the
main(rectangular) green directly in front of City
Hall. The quadrant of the main green is defined by the
parallel streets of Polk and Larkin & Grove and
McAllister. We ask, if it is possible, for you to
arrive at 2:45pm, as we will begin promptly at 3pm.

We invite you to join us in an exploration of our
personal, social, and political agency. How does
cultivating our own aliveness enhance our
response-ability to the world around us? Up for
consideration: activity, passivity, strength, courage,
collaboration and flexibility. We will provide some of
the tools/toys we personally use to explore our own
agency but also invite you to bring any resources you
would like to have on hand, i.e. bicycles, drums,
frisbees, and art supplies. Feel free to bring snacks
to share if you wish.

It is our intention to create a mindful space within
which to play with these concepts, personally and
collectively. We ask that you bring your openness to
engage questions of activism and agency and help us
hold this intention in one of the city's major centers
of activism.

If you have any questions, please feel free to
contact any or all of us.

Thank you in advance for your participation.
Looking forward to it!

I've done something right, b/c these last couple of days have rocked. First, to go to Yosemite in April is a good omen. Second, I returned to SF, to co-host a wickedly scrumptious dinner party. Third, we slept over (if not together) and spent the whole funday-Birthday-Sunday activitaying!
It looked something like this:
Notice my T shirt, and that I am holding crabs. Enough said.

Hilary baked us a cake: 3 diff frostings, 2 colors of cake, 1 gob of sugary deliciousness.

Alison and I are 60 years young combined & our cake looks HOT. 60's hot, right?
This is when us [7] girls started acro-dancing and the [6] guys left. Yeah- we dance, they leave. bummer?!

Next morning; we woke up and jabbed some of that, "remember Chris' house?" & "remember when Joe and his homie showed up?", w/a whole lotta laughter...Then went for a walk.
We have this thang for boys & bicycles- Who doesn't? Any how, this hip pedal pusher bar named Zeitgeist works wonders for eye candy, b/c most attendees (i'd assume all), have a liking for the biking. We rode there as part of our city-birthday search, and found us some dice. Neither gambling or bars are my game, but I enjoyed my hour as a gambler at the bar.
Continuing over to golden gate park, where hundreds of hippies united for our bearthday. Too many hippies were doing hippie shit, so after a brief slackline, we were out.

To Lone Star. Where Chi-town style pizza's served, and our friends reciprocate love.
And it doesn't seem to end. I stayed my usual Sunday night at Ali's and we skipped class to work logistics with this Wednesday's Civic Center 'scapade & Project Coachella on the horizon. Now that that's done, I want to manifest sleeping beauty.

A lot of handstands.
A few hundred feet of valley climbing.
A half rack of boulder problems solved.
A dozen mile run to Upper Yosemite Falls.
A couple nights spent under the moon & stars.
Amongst old friends, ancient energies & Camp 4.
A reBIRTHday of dreams!

Thank heavens for Yosemite.
For clarity.
Shalom.

Yosemite bound.

Good News: I finally moved the last of my stuff outta Pacifica.
Not so good news: I lost my wallet in transition.
Great News: It's Alison's & my birthday week.
Not so good: I hava shit-pot o'studies, keeping me from outside play.
oohGood News: Cat Powers is tonight, Project Bandaloop on Friday, Our full moon BDay'08 party's Sat...group celebratory ride on Sun.
Not sa good: I have a bedroom of stuff to organize/sell/sew and laundry to do.
Goodiness: I went climbing & am surfing on Fri.
Savvy Concern: Mama says "buy land in WA or OR b/c plate tectonics done gonna fuck CA up", or something like that.
Of Concern: Two of my gf's (pictured below), are breaking up w/their bf's. Some pollen's in the air, keeping us all actively curious as to who/what's in our lives, & how/why it fits. Mind you these phenomenologic gals are turning 34 & 32, so they've walked a block...
Subconscious Concern: My dream of opening a somatic place w/partners is growing, as my friends make space for such an idea.

A weekend of fragile feelings-
Apparently this heat is melting hard spots, and I am feeling the effects.
I want to ditch my place and move to the mountains...which has been my favorite "affirming resource" since 2000. I let everything but my toys and shooz go & head to Yosemite b/c it's magical there! I am trying to change my repetitive cycle and stay in SF for the summer, thus I am thankful for music, boys, and movement. Oh and girls, family & pineapple.

Maybe my creative intelligence and global visioning would step forth if I went shopping?
How about a piece of land and a bicycle for my birthday...

Yeah, all I want for my birthday is ______.

Team Bobo had a gay, gay, and more gay of a day.
Mt Tam Muir Woods Stinson-Bolinas-Stinson sunbathing fragile-feelings Vietnamese food

Cinnamon, applicious Oats, tea-n-eggs, Langa shaves his legs. Oh boy, oh boy, get'n ready b/c today we're Team Tibet, as the Olympic torch runs through SF...We're heading for the Berkeley/Oakland hills. Mind you we're moderately looking for hills.

And so, Lang laps us again and again--and we don't give a fuck. This is fun under the 70's sun.

Deeeeep Contemplation happens on the whale. Among other deeply penetrating things, like sun tans and soft porn.
Crows fly into handstands. Titibasana and backbends, this is how we pause amid "bike rides".

TEAM TIBET

SEE: soft porn.
After Team Tibet's speedy circle of a ride, hooting and hollaring, singing and laughing, we went back to my house. Then some of us went to school, some went to check out the torch, and Lang stayed at my house and ?probably tried on my clothes...

A dinner at "Nirvana" w/4 str8 women, one gay man, and Lang ensued, then some Castro exposure, Mission madness and back HOME.

Ohhhh lala. We're off to Mt Tamalpais-

Yesterday:
This guy on a biCycle was buzzed by a guy on a crotch rocket, and (rightfully) so, gave the offender the bird. To which the moto man flipped a bitch and confronted him- (Jeff and I were witnessing) and the young man in lyrca was obviously scared as the big bad leather dick revved his engine, made the back tire squeal-n-smoke and then bumped it into the kid's leg!
Mr. bad man sped off with his "rrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeee" blaring, and we checked in (like good lil bike faeries) with the kid. "Yeah, I am shaken up. I am TIRED OF BEING PUSHED AROUND", said the lad. As he continued with his shaky voice, a man crossing the intersection (on a bike), bailed rounding the hill-ish corner, and slid towards a car, to which swerved onto the sidewalk, and missed him! R-O-D-E-O.
So, after Jeff and I felt that college boy #1 was fine with his leg burn, we crossed to the guy who was patching up his arm, and looking at his bike...
We sprinkled our Care Bears Care dust, and were then free to enjoy our post ride dinner, on the other end of town, with material to reflect on, and somewhat laugh at.

I told the guy who went down that I knew how he felt- but really I don't. I just know how it feels to crotch the bar, and well, when I was 10ish I had a bad spill down a hill-
But I know the joys of movement, and we're bound to fall. Just gotta get back up.
